Maybe tomorrow

We worked at Citibank decades ago and Walt Wriston and team were not stupid. Today, however, the company has descended into idiocy. According to Citibank’s own ad, the company should be firing more than half its Board and Senior Management to save some dough.

    Elijah Cummings is dead.

One wonders what kind of crazy puppet the DNC will install in his place?

    re Citibank:

One wonders how badly corporate profits have been hurt across the USA by preferring a diverse management to a competent one? It would make an interesting study that will never be done because of the politically incorrect conclusions that might be illustrated.

A close corollary is corporate virtue signalling that costs the shareholders value. Dick’s Sporting Goods eliminating gun sales, and Gillette insulting their customer base spring to mind, but there are many others as well. Recall the CEO in the PNW (Pacific North West) that was going to pay all his people the same salary, regardless of how much money they made for his company.

A lot of money is being squandered at the altar of political correctness.
