What’s the word we’re looking for?

A senator: 80 percent of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients are produced abroad, the majority in China and India; however, the FDA only inspected one in five registered human drug manufacturing facilities abroad last year,

Oh yeah, we remember now: insanity.

Bonus: yet another proof of insanity.

This is not a recent development, however, it is not widely known. India has been a big player in the generic market for a very long time. The labeling often times omits the country of the products origin, again long time situation. Pharmaceuticals are, they given definition to Global as do the companies that manufacture them. And yes, The Chinamen are BIG players, but at least in the US market more a supplier of bulk ingredients. Are we seeing more treatment failures or adverse reactions? That should be an indicator that there may be a manufacturing problem. But like so many other things, when you close the plants and off shore the work……….

I’ll tell you what else is insane. That would be Canada allowing a major railroad to be shut down by a handful of fanatics. WTF is up with that?
