The Reprehensible Lack of Ethics at the Boston Globe
We’ve written previously about Globe reporter Michael Kranish tricking SwiftVet George Elliott and then twisting his words to spin a story in a pro-Kerry way. That was revolting, and should have been condemned, instead of passed, by his editor.
Today’s example is equally disgusting. The Globe ran a piece today in which it twisted Dr. Philip D. Bouffard’s words to support the notion that the CBS memos are genuine. Meanwhile, just like George Elliott, Bouffard is outraged. From INDC:
“What the Boston Globe did now sort of pisses me off, because now I have people calling me and e-mailing me, and calling me names, saying that I changed my mind. I did not change my mind at all!”
Hey, Doc, chill. We’re the Boston Globe. The truth is what we say it is on page A1, and maybe then the truth can be what you said it was, a week later, on page A27, if we allow it at all.
