The Post’s Wrap-up of Rathergate
It’s a good piece, and the graphic referred to a couple of posts below is devastating. It is particularly amusing to see that CBS put such importance on the White House press secretary’s not challenging the documents — after only seeing them very briefly. The idea of being able to say “The White House has not questioned their authenticity” was too delicious, I suppose, not to run with them ASAP.
We, of course, have a personal fondness for the concluding sentence of the article. Josh Howard, executive producer of 60 Minutes II since June 2004 (yikes!) said: It’s been frustrating to us to see all this reduced to a debate over little ‘th’s.”
