More on Quinnipiac

First, see the post below. Okay, now we’re on the same page. Here are some more internal results from the poll: 32% of Democrats think the debates are “very important,” much higher than the 23% of Independents who said so (question 22, the last question). That’s odd, don’t you think?

Why should debates matter to a third of Democrats? I think the answer comes from another question. Whereas 82% of Republicans think they know what Bush would do as president, only 60% of Democrats say they know what Kerry would do. Give me a friggin’ break — we’re five weeks away from an election and 40% of the guy’s own party don’t know what he would do?

I was going to make some snide comment here about the franchise having gotten too liberal, but wait — this 40% of Democrats is absolutely correct. None of us has any idea what JFKII would do as president. It seems fair to say that he doesn’t know what he would do, depending on the day. So I take it back.
