A small bone to pick with Hugh Hewitt and John Hinderaker on the Rathergate report
Total respect always to HH and JH, but each of them said that it doesn’t bother them that the Thonburgh/Boccardi report doesn’t definitively state that the phony Rathergate memos are phony. Hugh also says it’s the refusal to admit bias that bugs him the most. I’m precisely the opposite. Everybody who cares knows the biases of CBS. But it is like nails on a chalkboard to hear a CNN report this afternoon conclude with the line: “but since the report did not conclude whether the memos were real or forgeries, we will probably never really know the truth.”
