Reuters article entitled “Democrats hit Bush on security of buses, trains”

“In the past four years, the federal government has spent about $9 per flying passenger, but only 1 cent per transit passenger,” Rep. Robert Menendez of New Jersey said in delivering his Democratic Party’s weekly radio address…..”We have been fortunate so far in this country that we have not been hit by terrorist attacks on our buses or trains.”

A minder for every passenger? Who will mind the minder? Airport screening on the Lexington Avenue Line? Full body scans before boarding the Greyhound? Just what does this genius Menendez want to do with the additional $8.99 per passenger he wants to spend.

Oh, he just wants to complain about Bush. Okay, then, never mind.
