A disturbing number from a man who understand numbers
Michael Barone in RCP says this:
The bombings and attempted bombings in London have brought home to the American public that we face implacable enemies unwilling to be appeased by even the most emollient diplomacy. Yet, mainstream media coverage of Iraq has been mostly negative. But mainstream media no longer have a monopoly; Americans have other sources in talk radio, Fox News and the blogosphere. Bush’s presidency is still regarded as illegitimate by perhaps 20 percent of the electorate. But among the rest, the attempt to delegitimize him seems to be collapsing.
Do the numbers assuming that the 20% who think Bush illegitimate are all Democrats. 37% of voters in the last election were Democrats. Therefore, a majority of Democrats — 54% — think Bush is illegitimate according to this scenario. We were about to say how surprisingly large this number is, but, looking at the kooky and juvenile antics of leading Democrats today, we are really not that surprised after all.

Our government lied about going into Iraq! What is the matter with people who think that dropping bombs on people and killing thousands of innocent people will bring peace to the world? If someone dropped a bomb on your family home, killing all of your family and you were the sole survivor, what would you do? 9/11 was a terrible thing but folks, Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld have really stirred the pot of world hate against us. Isn’t 1750 dead soldiers enough? We are not going to control the pot of hatred that is stirred up against us. I think we better get all of our troops home and protect our cities, towns, rural villages and homes. I think we are going to need every last soldier on the home front and soon. Let’s vote the republicans out of office as fast as we can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am happy to see that I am not he lone american who sees things that way.
Mostly I am saddened that I have to share the country with all the idiots who no longer(if they ever did)think for themselves and have submitted to the propaganda and false patriotism being spewed upon the land from the far right.If one studies history,they will see some chilling parallels of what happened in Germany prior to WW2-sixty million Germans were proved wrong-how can they be so ignorant of recent history-Vietnam??

Carol and Jay are the idiots, not Bush, Cheney et al. Carol and Jay mask their fear of militant Islam in the guise of “defending the home front” and the “lessons of Vietnam.” What rubbish! Somehow I doubt Carol would support “getting tough” with Middle Easterners here at home, prohibiting them from immigrating to the country, expelling those who preach anti-American hate, etc. As for Jay, his historical ignorance is appalling. Pray tell, give one concrete example of the “parallels” between America today and Nazi Germany. What slanderous garbage. Carol and Jay are classic examples of the cowardly, America-hating liberals who are weakening this country.
