The deplorable Blanco stiffs Mayor Nagin and the President
They were all on Air Force One. Nagin was ready to give New Orleans over to the Feds, but Blanco demurred, saying she needed “24 hours” to make a decision. Nagin, via Polipundit, describes the results of a private meeting between the President and the Governor, after a dramatic plea for immediate action by Nagin (compelling CNN video via Wizbang):
The president looked at me….He said, “No, you guys stay here. We’re going to another section of the plane, and we’re going to make a decision.” He called me in that office after that. And he said, “Mr. Mayor, I offered two options to the governor.” I said – and I don’t remember exactly what. There were two options. I was ready to move today. The governor said she needed 24 hours to make a decision….She said that she needed 24 hours to make a decision. It would have been great if we could of left Air Force One, walked outside, and told the world that we had this all worked out. It didn’t happen, and more people died.

So when did this go down, this meeting? From what I remember, it happened on Thursday, maybe.
Unless W. was asking her this question on MONDAY or TUESDAY (when he was still playin his fiddle over at the ranch), it really makes a f— of a load of difference what blanco did or didn’t say.
I mean, is it possible that she kinda just doesn’t have too much faith in the president right now, considering FEMA is a fed agency and FEMA is more dangerous to Americans than all the arab fanatics of the world put together? Just a thought. Since you’re spouting off, I thought I’d spout back.

After the hurricane left town genius. After Blanco realized that she needed to save her ass. This meeting took place before Nagin demanded the city evacuate and left all those school buses sinking like the democratic party. You guys are done. Face it. We own the house, we own the senate, we own the presidency , we REALLY own the Supreme Court now. So, with that said.. be ready . Because, the Republican party is about to throw some serious weight around. MONK is a tool. I laugh at your misery, you liberal.
