Sean Penn’s ego and the truth

We showed below the picture of Sean Penn bailing out his boat while his personal photographer looked on, and onlookers in New Orleans mocked him. Here’s how he characterized his escapade to a London audience:

Oscar-winning Hollywood actor Sean Penn, who has been assisting rescue efforts in New Orleans, said the US government did not “seem to be inclined to help”. “We were pulling drowning people out of the water, it’s the ultimate distress and human suffering … dead bodies,” he told GMTV.

Hmmmm. Penn pulled drowning people out of the water, or so he says. It seems to us that he has the same relationship to the truth as does Randall Robinson.
