The Clinton Legacy
Well, he finally has one now, via AFP:
Breaking with tradition under which US presidents mute criticisms of their successors, Clinton said the Bush administration had decided to invade Iraq “virtually alone and before UN inspections were completed, with no real urgency, no evidence that there were weapons of mass destruction.”….
Clinton added: “We depend on Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Korea primarily to basically loan us money every day of the year to cover my tax cut and these conflicts and Katrina. I don’t think it makes any sense.”
The Clinton legacy is apparently that he is going to be the biggest jerk of an ex-president that the country has endured — the me-presidency became the me-ex-presidency with this tirade, and so full of falsehoods too (see Powerline). And it’s so nice of him to remind us that being president has made him rich. Nice touch. A real class act.
UPDATE
The industrious Lorie Byrd has gone to the trouble of providing links to the many occasions where Clinton spoke of the existence and dangers of Saddam’s WMD, and the other matters on which the former president has now made up new facts.

He knows that he cannot stop AbleDanger Congressional Hearings.
Rep. Weldon at presser last thursday told of the witnesses who are
lined up to testify to:
They were ordered to destroy all evidence of program.
They had issued a warning two weeks before the Cole Bombing
that a terror attack was planned in Yemen.
(Sandy Berger’s Pants)
So Bill strikes first. Then the Dems will go into the Joe Wilson mode.
All the Able Danger stuff is just retaliation for St. Bill telling the truth.
And as reported by Frank Rich in the NYT today:
CNN & NBC are opening bureaus in New Orleans.
Bash Bush 24/7!

Memory is weak, but I was under the impression that Bill was an early supporter of Bush going to war - Am I crazy?
Hillary was an early supporter though -does that make her incompetent, Bill?
Will the MSM surround her with mikes to ask that question?
