“Fraud” in the referendum but not in the election of Saddam

ABC three years ago (10/15/02):

Seven years ago, when the last referendum took place, Saddam Hussein won 99.96 percent of the vote. Of course, it is impossible to say whether that’s a true measure of the Iraqi people’s feelings.

NBC three years ago:

All 11,440,638 eligible voters went to the polls with one thought: Yes to Saddam Hussein! The government proclaimed it a victory of light over darkness, good over evil. It seemed more like a political miracle.

Sister network CBS today:

Iraq’s electoral commission said Monday it intended to audit an “unusually high” vote count from most provinces in the country’s landmark referendum on the draft constitution…..The electoral commission’s statement came as Sunni Arab lawmaker Meshaan al-Jubouri claimed fraud had occurred in Saturday’s election…

Question: does this mean that “unusually high” is higher than the 100% turnout in the last election for Saddam? Or does “unusually high” refer to a victory margin higher than 99.96%? Or does it merely mean that the MSM kowtow to tyrants and report the anti-American angle whenever possible.

You nailed it, and them. They have no shame, as theirs is a mission from the darkness of life. Deception, is their name! Truth is their enemy! Who could they possibly be working for? It’s not professional objectivity for the good of the nation, that much we know. Once again, their Constitutional protection needs to be questioned, for without objective truth in news, voters cannot be properly informed when they vote.
