A message of hope from UK Islamists
The Sunday Times has a recording from Al Qaeda which calls the Queen an enemy of Islam. It also contains an unintentional and funny bit of hope from an Islamist fruitcake:
[The tape] also contains inflammatory material from Mohammad Sidique Khan, ringleader of the London bombings which killed 52 commuters. He is urging Muslims to take part in jihad and seek martyrdom. Khan, 30, incites British Muslims to ignore the moderate Islamic leaders who want integration with British society. “Our so-called scholars of today,” he said, “are content with their Toyotas and semi-detached houses” in their desire for integration. The message is believed to be the first of its kind in which a British suicide bomber calls on fellow UK Muslims to follow his example.
Who knew that perhaps the gravest enemy of Al Qaeda was this:
We should all hope that the creepy and dangerous Mohammad Sidique Khan is right.
UPDATE
These words from Australia’s new treasurer seem apt as well, via Powerline:
If you are somebody who wants to live in an Islamic state governed by sharia law you are not going to be happy in Australia, because Australia is not an Islamic state, will never be an Islamic state and will never be governed by sharia law. We are a secular state under our constitution, our law is made by parliament elected in democratic elections. We do not derive our laws from religious instruction.
There are Islamic states around the world that practise sharia law and if that’s your object you may well be much more at home in such a country than trying to turn Australia into one of those countries, because it’s not going to happen.
Special bonus
The American Thinker has a stunning piece by James M. Arlandson on why women — and all of us for that matter — should hope for the victory of the Toyota and the semi-detached house.
