The Ahmadinejad letter, Nigeria and Latin American dictators

When we saw news of 200 people killed in an oil pipeline explosion in Nigeria today, we recalled our recent piece on the Islamists making war on oil facilities in that country in the name of Jihad for Allah. We also thought once again of the Ahmadinejad letter — kind of a one-stop shopping center for all your Jihad needs. Page 7 of the letter reads in part:

Don’t Latin Americans have the right to ask why their elected governments are being opposed and coup leaders supported? Or, Why must they constantly be threatened and live in fear?

The people of Africa are harworking, creative and talented. They can play an important and valuable role in providing for the needs of humanity and contribute to its material and spiritual progress. Poverty and hardship in large parts of Africa are preventing this from happening. Don’t they have the right to ask why their enormous wealth — including minerals — is being looted, despite the fact that they need it more than others?

It seemed to us that these paragraphs were more than Leftist boilerplate about the global oppression by the United States. Rather, they were direct hat tips and encouragements to Iran’s allies in Latin America, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Evo Morales, as well as the Islamic fighters in Nigeria. These allies are important to Iran in the oil price war it is currently attempting to wage upon the West and other Jihad purposes. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to visit Castro in September, and has been invited to Bolivia by Morales. Hugo Chavez has said he plans to visit Iran soon, and Iran has kindly offered to assist Venezuela in its nuclear development.

The Axis continues to grow; the West continues to dither.

UPDATE

News from the oil Jihad via IRNA:

Rome, May 12, IRNA-Visiting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said in Rome on Thursday in case of a military attack against Iran, no country in the world would have access to crude oil. Chavez made the remark at a press conference, adding, “As Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has reiterated, if Tehran would come under attack, oil would get scarce for everyone.”

Gateway Pundit covers Sen Larry Craig’s (R-ID) brilliant presentation in the
    Senate yesterday:
Thanks to Democratic “No Zones”, the US Is in Grave Danger

Sen Craig gave a report with maps and charts on how the now miNOity party has created NO Zones.

China is drilling 50 miles off our coast for Cuba, while we
are at the mercy of dictators, tyrants and terrorists.

    From GatewayPundit:
    Senator Craig…

Now, as we sit idly by, worried about development 100 miles from Florida, China is actively exploring oil fields 50 miles from Key West, Florida. U.S. companies are barred from working in this area because of U.S. policy . So, instead of allowing the most environmentally responsible companies to operate there and increase our domestic supply, China, who has a dismal environmental record, is sucking close, lucrative oil reserves dry.

On Thursday, May 11, 2006, Senator Larry Craig, R-Idaho, and Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., introduced legislation that will allow U.S. companies to compete for and develop oil and natural gas resources in Cuban waters. The oil fields are currently being explored by a number of other countries, including China, India, Spain, and Canada.

Sure we’d all like to have other sources of energy today and we’d also like rainbows and buttercups everyday, but this crisis we are in today demands mature solutions. Hope is not a defense policy. Hope is not an energy policy, either!…..GatewayPundit

Hurrah! Senator Larry Craig, Republican Senator of Idaho.

“The miNOrity party’s NO Zones” sure looks like a great bumper sticker.
