Unemployment and Islamic societies

Many Islamic societies have abnormally high rates of unemployment. Islamic societies abutting or within Western economies have unemployment rates 3x or more than the adjacent Christian, Jewish or secular societies. Is it any wonder that societies that produce factions who “worship death” and blame Jews for their problems, are stewing in their own juices rather than getting on with the business of life? The data are compelling; consider:

According to data in a Middle East Economic Survey report, Iran’s unemployment rate is in the 16-20% range, with youth unemployment is at least 34%. In recent years, Iran has taken to falsifying its numbers; the CIA Factbook uses an official 11% rate that no one believes, least of all the Iranians. Estimates of youth unemployment range as high as 50%.

Saudi Arabia’s unemployment is estimated as high as 25%.

Israel’s unemployment rate is 8.9%, while the West Bank and Gaza Strip have unemployment rates of 20.3% and 30.3% respectively.

France’s unemployment rate is 10.1%, its youth unemployment rate is 22%, and its unemployment rate among Muslim youth is estimated at over 30%.

England’s unemployment rate is 4.8%, its Muslim unemployment rate is 15%, and that for Muslim youth is reported at 17.5%. The study giving these statistics says, at page 8, “The extent to which religion is a driver for labour market outcomes is not yet known.”

We found the self-flagellation in the British report amusing:

Contrast the modern-day political correctness with Winston Churchill’s analysis of the situation in 1899:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.…A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities …but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.

Many Islamic societies — inside or outside of the West — have big problems with unemployment. It isn’t hard to see that sharia socieites which are not future-oriented and produce no technology or inventions also produce little entrepreneurship. What is amazing is to see the West so intellectually hobbled that it seeks to further accommodate the pre-modern and parasitic views in its midst.

Accommodate and exult the pre-modern and parasitic, or admit the victory of what gave rise to modernity, and end all excuses for ideologies that promise conditionless and automatic success to backwards and slovenly behavior at the expense of the productive.

If I’m not mistaken unemployment occurs everywhere in the world, due to advancement of technology…more technology, people everywhere in the world rely on machines and cool gadgets…don’t have to be literate…but still can be successful…Some people define unemployment wrongly…There are some people who rather open up their own businesses than being employed under a company…Statistic studies sometimes can be deviating…Nowadays, with the technological advancement and resources available people have to “create their own jobs”…favoritism/biasness especially in the West could define why Muslims are not being employed although they are very educated and skillful in every aspects…Before jumping into conclusion let us do a thorough studies in every aspect why unemployment occurs…not in Muslim societies itself but in other societies….unemployment = jobless?????
