Nasty, anti-feminist MSM reporting
Look at the lead of this Reuters story:
The Pentagon’s inspector general looked into the Defense Department’s 2003 order for a contractor to hire the girlfriend of then-Pentagon No. 2 Paul Wolfowitz, but found no violation to warrant a deeper probe, defense officials said on Thursday.
The woman who doesn’t even get named in the first paragraph, Shaha Riza, is a highly accomplished professional, but is treated rather like a bimbo by Reuters. As Christopher Hitchens put it: “Anyone in Washington who cares about democracy in the Muslim world is familiar with her work, at various institutions, in supporting civil-society activists in the Palestinian territories, in Iran, in the Gulf, and elsewhere.” Some bimbo. Some MSM.
