The bellicose Senate majority

The Senate majority is fearsome, warlike, and unified in its bellicosity:

the entire Democratic caucus in the United States Senate — 50 senators — has sent a letter to the Washington Post attacking the dean of the Washington press corps, David Broder, for a column in which Mr. Broder dared to criticize their leader for his preemptive surrender to the terrorists in Iraq.

“We, the members of the Senate Democratic Caucus, contest the attack on Sen. Harry Reid’s leadership by David S. Broder in his April 26 column,” the letter says. “In contrast to Mr. Broder’s insinuations, we believe Mr. Reid is an extraordinary leader who has effectively guided the new Democratic majority through these first few months with skill and aplomb.”

50 Democrat votes in the war against David Broder? That is quite a turnaround for the anti-war party. 50 votes is even a little better unanimity than the Party demonstrated on the anti-war bill stunningly labeled the “U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans’ Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007″. Well, at least they’re warlike about something.

So where`s the minority party senate support letter to Broder.
I wish these Republicans would grow a spine. No wonder the Democrats will retain the House and Senate in 08 and gain the Presidency as well
Wake up and make some noise.
