The MSM were kept waiting for months
No doubt this story was scheduled to run much earlier in the year, but events just didn’t work out that way, as the chart shows. CNN:
Five U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq on Monday, making 2007 the deadliest for the American military in the Iraq war. The grim record came despite lower death rates in recent months, which were not enough to offset death tolls that topped 100 during three months in the spring.
As the chart shows, US casualties have been falling for some time. Yet the good news has often been buried on the insides (p. A14) of newspapers, or framed as MSNBC wrote: “Is dip in violence a mere lull or hopeful trend?” Not so of course with the ghoulish death watch of the MSM to see what dubious record might have been set this time around.
