There was glee

CBS demonstrated that this story of senator Clinton was not remotely true:

“I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia,” she said, in remarks that aides described Monday as not being part of her prepared speech. “I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

What was notable to us was the glee with which CNN’s commentators seemed to take in the discussion of Senator Clinton’s faux pas. In a discussion involving Candy Crowley, Joe Klein and others, no slack was cut for the Senator from New York. Rather the opposite. One of the pundits said something to the effect of “there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the candidate’s policies, so we get caught up in covering things like whose supporter said what,” an apparent diminution of a certain recent controversy. There really is no question of which candidate the MSM favor and disfavor. And it certainly seems as though the dislike is sometimes personal.

So I guess I can’t call CNN the “Clinton News Network” any more.

I’m sure they’re outraged at being treated like they were.. (gasp) … Republicans …

The blogs have been covering this story since DECEMBER, complete with quotes from her book, pictures, and film of the runway ceremony.

The WaPo had it on line March 11, with an interview with Sinbad.

It finally gets to the front page on March 23?

But Reverend Wright’s diatribes have been all over the web- or at least right wing blogs- since OCTOBER.

It took the MSM about two months to notice the Swift Boat Veterans, too.

So which is it, journalistic professionals- bias, or incompetence?

“Misspoke”. What kind of a spin word is that? It’s a synonym for lying. Her words have been thought out and said on more than one occassion. They were printed in a book written by her. This was no accident or blip, but an ongoing effort to boost her chances for the Democratic nomination. Clinton is playing us for fools. It worked for her husband, even though he was under oath to tell the truth. No need to say anymore. It’s clear what is going on here.

what is the difference between lying , misspoke and exaggeration’s. If she cannot remember her visit since’ she played such an important role in foreign affairs’ she must be senile therefore not fit to be president or she is lying to the voters to up her credentials to fool those that can be fooled.

One of the revolutionary aspects of this year’s campaign is that lefties are waking up to the existence of press bias, and coming to appreciate just how pervasive it is.

Regardless of how people look at this, Clinton lied about her trip to Bosnia. I think that you would not easily forget where or when you were greeted with bullets upon landing in a foreign country, unless this is what you do for a living. Now granted some people do face that kind of situation in war zones, I doubt the 1st lady would ever have been “parachuted” in such a hostile environment, knowing she was also accompanied by her daughter. What mother in her right mind would take that risk?

So I doubt very much that Clinton was even mistaken with another “hot” welcome elsewhere, it simply did not happen. Which brings me to my question: what other things is she lying about? What if she lied to the American people about that 3AM phone call too? Just like Bush lied about Saddam Hussein. We know where that one led the American people; are they willing to face yet another ill-fated adventure?
