But Luttwak has a legitimate point: consider the assassinations of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anwar_Sadat" rel="nofollow">Sadat</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yitzhak_Rabin" rel="nofollow">Rabin</a>. Luttwak’s next-to-last sentence:

Is he being artful here? He could have ended the sentence with “…American voters, and it should not be.” He also neglects to mention Hamas’s apparent endorsement of Obama.
