I was discouraged by many reader comments on that Polipundit post. IMO the GOP is dominated by a coalition of grifters and zealots. (I have the same impression about the Democrats, but I've paid less attention to them than to the Republicans.) The zealots pursue their culture wars and the grifters batten. More troubling is that they’ve not been particularly evident on the GOP side as well.
