A final word on lipstick
Senator Obama on the Letterman show:
“Keep in mind that, technically had I meant it this way –- she would be the lipstick!”
Some commentators have pondered the meaning of this comment. Our view is that the smart move would have been for the Obama campaign to offer an apology in ten seconds and quickly return to executing their strategy and being on offense. But they chose this reactive posture. What’s the strategy here?
