Giving thanks for our wonderful media overlords
The AP headline on this Thanksgiving story reads “Palin pardons turkey while others slaughtered.” Note that the TV crew went out of its way (at 2:22) to pan away from Governor Palin to help the AP with its headline. The media know whom they like and whom they dislike, and the rest of us had just better get used to it and be thankful for the blessings our media overlords bestow upon us.

Not just the US media is obscenely hateful a la Rick Sanchez ( enter rick sanchez idiot into google search engine and 84,000 entries will appear )
this is a world wide phenomenom; canada, england and israel media are hopelessly leftist
WE CAN DO 2 THINGS
1) stop buying all newspapers and magazines and stop watching CNN – request that cable companies stop broadcasting it
2) beat up any known reporters or journalists on the spot and spit on female journalists on the spot – if they know that they will be beaten they may stop

IMO Republicans invited the media’s last, unkindest cuts. The GOP’s self-discrediting governance has emboldened the media to discard any pretense at neutrality.
It’s not right to kick someone even if they are carrying a ‘Kick Me’ sign, but…

It’s depressing to see so many people who still can’t see through the charade that has led us to this precipice. The politicians, of both political parties, just want to grow their industry. To think any of them are not complicit and that they have a clue is risible. And let’s face it, since 1929, they’ve been the most successful industry in the U.S. In Calvin Coolidge’s era perhaps the business of American really was business. Now, it’s clearly government. I saw a pithy aphorism at one blog site the other day. The author summarized our situation pretty accurately and succinctly. The Democrats are the party of tax and spend and the Republicans are the party of borrow and spend. Have no fear, though, the entitlement tsunami coming in 2010-20 will bring the corporate-government complex, and our economy in general, back to earth with a thud.
