Three ring circus ahead
Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich said on the day before he was arrested that, contrary to his rather entertaining indictment by the Feds, everything he does and says is lawful:
“If anyone wants to tape my conversations, go right ahead, feel free to do it. I appreciate anyone who wants to tape me openly and notoriously. and those who want to, uh, sneakily and wear taping devices, I would remind them that it kind of smells like Nixon in Watergate. But I don’t care whether you tape me privately or publicly, I’m gonna tell you that whatever I say is always lawful, and the things I’m interested in doing are always lawful.”
ABC News’ speculations on the identity of Candidate 5 for the Senate seat vacated by President elect Obama suggest a possible three ring media circus just ahead.
Howard Kurtz comments: “I’ve never seen a wilder batch of allegations…Trying to (allegedly) sell Obama’s Senate seat! Trying to (allegedly) squeeze money from a children’s hospital! Trying to (allegedly) get Chicago Tribune staffers fired by threatening to derail a deal by its bankrupt parent company to sell the Chicago Cubs! (Who says newspapers don’t matter any more?) You can’t make this stuff up. No Hollywood studio would buy the script.” Who said the TV miniseries was dead?

I watched the clip because I was hoping to find out how his name is pronounced. But no help.
He sure is an arrogant guy. Sheesh.
