An impressive one-man operation that could be used in government?

The Madoff client list in his $50 billion Ponzi scheme runs 162 pages and has 80 names per page (some names are repeated). The list includes (per the WSJ) HSBC, UBS AG, Citibank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and BNP Paribas, among others. Madoff is obviously an extraordinary individual if he can run a one-man operation of such magnitude. Question: given the recent track record of the current administration’s nominees, wouldn’t he fit right in (as well as significantly reducing operating expenses) as head of the Social Security System?

Well yes, but wouldn’t the suckers who come along later find out that there is nothing in the pot for them?

Holder, now saying that there will be “no wall street witch hunts”. I offer that Madoff could not have pulled this off without help or at least folks looking the other way. But of course he was also a major Dem. donor. No witch hunts = no accountability.
