The dangerous world of magical thinking in the Obama administration
President Obama talked about health care and how everything will be the same, only it will cost less and be better for everyone. How can a man proclaim such nonsense with a straight face? NYT:
“I just want to figure out what works,” the president said at the White House…“If we want to cover all Americans,” Mr. Obama said, “we cannot make the mistake of trying to fix what isn’t broken. So if you have insurance you like, you’ll be able to keep that insurance. If you have a doctor you like, you can keep that doctor. You’ll just pay less for the care that you receive.”
Meanwhile, Rome is burning. The President continues to ignore, out of incompetence or some other motivation, the single most important element in getting the economy back on track. NYT:
“The Dow Jones industrial average closed at 6,594.44, down 281.40, or 4.1 percent — its lowest close since April 15, 1997….Shares of Bank of America fell more than 11 percent while Citigroup skidded 9 percent to close at $1.02 a share. JPMorgan Chase was down 14 percent, and Wells Fargo lost 17 percent.”
Banking is like a river that brings life to the world of commerce though liquidity, but the White House seems utterly oblivious to a priority that needs to be #1, #2, and #3 if the economy is going to rebound. To date we’ve had nothing but foolish policies or simply ignoring the problem. There seems to be a parallel with the crazy magical thinking about health care illustrated above. This President is either out of touch, or really believes in his own magical abilities, or something even worse than that.

Obama knows what he is doing. He is just pouring holy water on the corpse of the economy after having pounded a stake through its heart.
And remember its Comrade Obama.

I’m thinking about ordering one of these. Maybe some enterprising person will start printing them with the current year thereon…

Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by ignorance. I don’t think the president is evil, I think he is ignorant and arrogant. That’s a combination that is likely to be fatal to us. Sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express doesn’t make a community organizer a president.
My prescription would be to vote against every incumbent, before it is too late.
