Something to ponder

Bob Herbert, who is an ardent supporter of the President, said this:

The president also said, as he estimated the cost of his proposal at $900 billion over 10 years, that he “will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future.” I’m sure he means it. But I have not spoken to anyone, either on Capitol Hill or elsewhere, who believes that is doable.

You have to ask what’s up with a fellow who can make crazy promises that even his supporters find to be absurd. You really have to wonder.

Yes, crazy promises from Obama, but what is up with his supporters believing them? I think that’s nuts too.

Informed people see through the lies, some accept them as happy happy talk, just campaign rhetoric, nothing to worry about. Or they accept that the ends justify the means.

But Oprah got many people to BELIEVE … Barry is The One. Many just accept it all on faith. It’s easier than reading or thinking.

I’m not sure what the president believes. He’s either delusional or a liar in my opinion.

I don’t think he means it. I think he knows it’s a false position, and when he talks about it a false statement. It’s intentional – he’s a very, very smart guy.

It’s the definition of a lie.

Registered Democrat here, I don’t believe this either. The CBO says it’s a pipedream and I DO believe them.

I’m certain that “bob” is right. Obama knows better, unless he knows a secret that no one in Congress in in the real world is privy to.

At some risk of invoking Godwin’s Law, I think that Obama is practicing The Big Lie to fire up the true believers.
