Modesty

The head of the National Endowment for the Arts said this:

This is the first president that actually writes his own books since Teddy Roosevelt and arguably the first to write them really well since Lincoln. If you accept the premise, and I do, that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, then Barack Obama is the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar.

Even absent the sideshow about Obama’s books, we wonder how statements like this will be regarded in years to come. HT: Powerline

This person has Monica Lewinski beat… stain or no stain.

Well, the dog is just singing for his supper. The Government National Money for Government Artists. ( Saddam had way better praise singers. )

What makes people say things like this? I mean, have they no shame? F

  4. Maddog Says:

The Adminstration has devolved into a Monty Python skit. Here the head of the National Endowment for the Arts essentially says, A equals B and B equals C therefore A equal Z. Huh?

    Hilarity ensues. I guess.

    (What? How old are you?)

    Answers, A. Money, B. No.

I actually guffawed (I’m not that type, normally) after reading this. Good God, is there any level to which the Prez’ legion of kneed-padded sycophants won’t sink?

So the head of the NEA is saying that JFK did not write “Profiles in Courage”? Didn’t he win a Pultizer for the book? What will the Kennedy family say about that?

Also I am unaware that Lincoln wrote any books. Speeches, magnificent ones, as opposed to the O’s snoozers but no books.

Money may be at the root, but there is also a large degree of infatuation. Barry is praised like a cult leader … and gross inadequacies are overlooked.

But gee … he is doing pretty well at destroying what we have left of capitalism. His favorite in house people seem to praise Marx or Mao or Chavez, so Obama should probably be measured by their standards.

That’s a display of profound ignorance or shameless sycophancy. I don’t know which is worse, but I’d not want my name associated with it.

Leftists are revising history all over the place and few are calling them on it.
Jane Hamsher and Rachel Maddow provide another blatant example of this ongoing deception.
