Bill Clinton commented on the rather odd story that is NY-23. WaPo:

Bill Clinton, apparently straying from the White House line, even used the R-word in a fundraising appeal for Owens: “With the world watching, this race will be seen as a referendum on President Obama’s agenda.”

We will have to see how the votes tally, but on first read this statement by Clinton suggests a negative assessment of Obama. Of course, that would not be new news.
