Ten thousand Tiffany boxes
We’ve discussed this before, but we’re doing so again to achieve maximum visual impact. Imagine a cube (it’s probably really a hexahedron) constructed of little blue Tiffany Boxes stacked up so that they are 10 x 10 x 10. Now imagine 10 of these little structures sitting side by side. That’s a lot of little boxes in ten structures side-by-side, adding up to ten thousand boxes in all. Kind of like walking down the street in a city designed by Le Corbusier.
Here’s the punchline. The 10,000 blue Tiffany boxes represent the sky — our atmosphere. If you remove just one of those boxes in one of the cubes and replace it with one nice turquoise box, you have just illustrated for yourself the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere over the last couple of centuries. Insignificant, virtually meaningless.
This is the magnitude of the ripoff that has been perpetrated on the West by those who have rightly judged that our elites have lost their marbles, or never had any to begin with. Of course this has all been obvious for a long time — since China and India were never going to play, every conference has just been a boondoggle.
About the only good thing the Great Recession has done for America is that people are awakening to the fact that they are paying for these expensive fantasies, and that there are much better uses for money today than fulfilling the champagne wishes and caviar dreams of bureaucrats, politicians and hangers-on. Next up, can we save Edison’s cheaper (and much safer) incandescent light bulb, and can you take a shower in peace?

Global warming is just another excuse for bureaucrats to steal money from us so they can hand it out themselves building a base of power, a base of “true believers”. Who is truer than the company that just got a million dollars from the government. Buying a base with our tax dollars, now that’s wielding power classic style!
