Two equally sensible ideas

Coca-Cola’s traditional Christmas cans disappeared this year. Wes Pruden:

Coca-Cola…withdrew the red cans and replaced them with snow-white cans as antiseptic as a bedpan. The white cans are decorated with shadowy images of polar bears, commemorating Coke’s contribution of $3 million to the World Wildlife Fund’s campaign to “save the polar bears.”

Maybe next year Coke will have cans illustrated with a hockey stick and no Medieval Warm Period. That’ll wow ‘em. (In our view, doctoring the data to remove the MWP was necessary in the minds of the global warming fraudsters so that they could claim that recent warming was “unprecedented” and would require spending vast unnecessary sums, which BTW would benefit them economically and professionally.)

Yes, because everyone knows that the real money is in working as a research scientist.

Dinocrat: But perhaps what should have been more alarming is the disappearance of the Medieval Warm Period from roughly 900-1300, when temperatures were several dregrees warmer than they are today.

Can you point to a peer review study that supports that global average temperatures were several degrees warmer during the Medieval Warm Period than today?

Zachriel – if you can manage to do a web search, see what YOU can find about the massive amount of valid, criticisms of “peer” reviewed flap doodle that gets published and is COMPLETELY INCAPABLE of being replicated.

If you open minded, Zachriel, you will find that Climategate II is very much about warmists manipulating “peer” reviews and trying to disallow anything other than warmist propaganda from getting published.

Zachriel, if you know what geology is, (if can figure out how to do it) look for the LARGE number of geologists who discuss their RESEARCH into historical temperatures.

I doubt that you can figure out, Zachriel, but look into all the massive information about the Little Ice Age, and what the world was like before and during it.

Zachriel – do you know why Greenland is called “Greenland” – it is NOT because of the color of all the ice that is NOW on it, and GROWING.

Zachriel – how do explain the measurable FACT that the Antarctica ice fields are GROWING – measurably GROWING and getting DEEPER.

Each of these items can only be explained by all that Mann made Global Warming!

In other words, no you can’t point to a peer reviewed study concerning temperatures in the Medieval Warm Period.

    Rubbish, Zachriel, absolute RUBBISH.

In other words, you, Zachriel, do NOT have the intelligence, or an “mind” open enough to do a web search to find something.

I fully expect you, Zachriel, are SO STUPID that you think that since Dinocrat and I will not hold your hand and educate you (on how to do a web search), you think THAT means there are no such studies.

Furthermore, you are OBVIOUSLY STUPID enough to think “a peer reviewed” study has some meaning; and that you are so MASSIVELY uninformed that hold fast to you religious dogma in the face of ALL the MASSIVE amount of data showing that “peer reviewed” studies are for the most part, useless.

In other words, Zachriel, you CANNOT address any of the questions I put to you; you will hold fast to your RELIGIOUS DOGMA in the face of a MASSIVE amount of data and information. Bless you, my child, bless you!

Dinocrat – I apologize for feeding the troll – and Zachriel is a prototype troll who is not worth time or pixels.

Thanks for you blog, Dinocrat – I check it regularly; your posts are always well informed and thoughtful. The commenters are always thoughtful and intelligent (unlike Zachriel).

Most studies point to the Medieval Warming Period as being between 0.2°C cooler and 0.75°C warmer than current temperatures, but regional temperature anomalies were highly heterogeneous. Because of uncertainties, it is quite possible the Medieval Warming Period was not a global phenomena at all.

    Folks:

I am a regular contributor at another website that for months was pestered by Zachriel. The blog mistress finally booted Zach—which by the way is a group of basement nerds and college kids, led by an adult, whose specialty is roaming the Internet in search of conservative sites to land on.

As you gain experience with them (we used to call them “The Hive”), you will find that you are dealing with an entity that deliberately acts in an autistic manner. In other words, the Zachs will not offer anything other than canned, emotionally remote responses to your messages. We used to compare them to Michael Dukakis in the 1988 presidential campaign when he was asked how he would react if his wife was raped. Dukakis, like an automaton, gave an answer that chilled millions for its tone deafness and lack of empathy.

We consistently refuted Zach’s global warming/Keynesian economics nonsense, but he simply ignored the fact that his second-hand data and information were being devastated by the rush of events. He would react like the Dark Knight in the Monty Python movie whose limbs had all been chopped off by King Arthur: “It’s just a flesh wound!”

I guess my message is simply that while the Zachs are fun to poke at, don’t take them all that seriously. My dog, Baxter, loves to play with his squirrel chew toy, but he doesn’t mistake it for the real thing. I’d say that toying with the Zachs is fun, but don’t mistake them for a real person with any original insights or real intent to engage you all in an honest conversation.
